VPnet Acceptable Use Policy
VPnet is a private network, to be used by and between VPnet members to conduct collaborative research and development, education, technology transfer, the commercialization of new businesses and technologies, and other such new uses as may be discovered. This permitted use includes the interconnection of the VPnet network to networks owned and operated by each member and to larger networks created in support of research and education which share similar Acceptable Use Policies, such as Pacific Northwest Gigapop, Internet2, Abilene, Energy Research Network, etc. It is the intention of VPnet to bring into existence a culture of cooperation among the membership, both in terms of developing a collaborative environment for research, development, e-learning and business incubation and in terms of insuring that the non-commercial nature of the network is maintained. VPnet may add additional users to the Network for the explicit purposes of collaborative research, development, education, business incubation, and business continuity.
