Liberty Lake Internet Exchange (LLIX) Joins VPnet Consortium

Liberty Lake Internet Exchange (LLIX) is the newest member to join the VPnet consortium. LLIX is a premier provider of data center services, providing business continuity, disaster recovery, hosting and collocation services to its clients. “We are thrilled to have LLIX as part of the VPnet membership”, says Steve Trabun, VPnet President. “LLIX brings tremendous value to the consortium by providing our members with direct access to their business continuity services.” LLIX also provides an opportunity for VPnet to utilize their hosting, collocation, and managed security services, which may be directly provided to the consortium by VPnet. LLIX is currently in the process of exploring the implementation of a parallel computing cluster, which would be tremendous for researchers in the region.

LLIX is backed by Bernard Daines, the Chairman of Linux Networx, who has more than 30 years of experience in the networking industry and is widely recognized as an expert in Ethernet technology. “In a short amount of time, the VPnet Consortium has established a solid foundation for private-public collaboration among higher education, medical, R&D, and corporate partners like us,” says Bernard Daines. “We are excited to join and contribute to fostering regional economic growth.”
