VPnet Funding Update: VPnet Receives EDI Earmark | ||
The House Transportation, Treasury, and HUD Appropriations bill approved on June 6, 2006 by the House Appropriations Committee includes a $250,000 EDI earmark for VPnet. This is an important milestone for VPnet in the federal appropriations process. VPnet is hopeful that the earmark will be approved during the Conference Committee sessions this fall. VPnet extends its sincere gratitude to the offices and staff of Congresswoman McMorris and Senator Murray with the Washington delegation, as well as Senator Craig, and Congressman Simpson with the Idaho delegation for their support throughout this process. VPnet also thanks Tom Paine, Avista Corporation's Director of Government Relations, for his guidance and lobbying support. |
